After a long period of without vacation we got a holiday gift from my office. It was a 5 days Krabi and Bangkok tour arranged via makemytrip. We generally love to go for the hillside during any vacation, but this time we enjoyed this foreign trip a lot. Bangkok is a very planned, neat and clean, busy city. It has lots of hotels, skyscrapers, lots of cars and people, but still very disciplined.
Krabi
We went to Krabi first. Our flight was booked from Kolkata to Bangkok, Bangkok to Krabi, Krabi to Bangkok, and Bangkok to Kolkata. All the transfers from airport to hotel was private transfers in AC coaches. It was needed as during this time of the season Thailand’s weather is very hot and humid.
In Krabi we stayed in Holiday Inn Resorts. The views from the resort was very picturesque. It is situated near the famous Ao Nang beach. The resort has open terrace restaurant with buffet system breakfast, meals, and dinners. It has a open space bar and swimming pools as well. The rooms was huge and very beautiful. Views from the balcony was just great.
We opted for Poda 4 Island tour and Kayaking in Ao Talane. Both the tours was great, but full day Kayaking is a bit exhausting. One should opt for half day Kayaking only.
Bangkok
We stayed in Silom area in Novotel hotel in Bangkok. The rooms was cozy, we didn’t liked it much. The rooms of Holiday Inn Resorts in Krabi was huge and so beautiful that the hotel room in Bangkok disappoint us a bit. But the location of the hotel was very prominent and the food was awesome.
We visited Safari World and MBK market during our stay in Bangkok. Safari World is a famous open zoo. It also arrange different animal shows like, orangutan show, sea lion show, dolphin show, elephant show, bird show, cowboy stunt show, spy war stunt show etc. MBK center shopping mall is huge and we just amazed by its size. It’s area is about almost 5 Kolkata South City Malls.
