Pomfret Tandoori recipe is a delicious Indian recipe of fish tandoori served as a starter dish. It’s made of marinated pomfret cooked in a tandoor oven and as usual many of us will not have tandoor oven in our house, so presenting pomfret tandoori recipe for microwave oven.
Pomfret Tandoori for Microwave Oven
To serve: 4
Cooking time: 1 hour
Ingredient:
- 4 Pomfret fish
- 300 gm hung curd
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp kashmiri lal powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp mustard powder
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- Salt to taste
Method:
Wash the fish properly and dry it and give incisions all over. After that add lemon juice and vinegar and keep it aside for at least for 30 minutes.
For the marinate:
In a bowl add hung curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, kashmiri lal powder, mustard powder, garam masala, mustard oil and mix it well. After that take a platter and rub the marinade well, and marinate the fish at least for 1 hour.
The cooking method:
At first pre-heat the oven for 20minutes on HIGH. Then put the fish on the high rack and grill on high for 30minutes, till tender.
When one side is almost done, change the side for 30 minutes.
Serve hot with chutney, and crisp salad and sprinkle chaat masala powder.
